Turn your handwritting into a font for free

There are a few places around that will convert you handwriting into a font for a fee. But pilot has a cool new site (Pilot handwriting) that will turn you handwriting into a font for free.

You print out the template and fill in your letters (be sure to make them big..and all the same size, as I discovered)

Then uploading is super easy, you can use your camera, scanner or your webcam..which is great for lazy peeps like me! It then reads your scan and converts your font on the fly. You can then make changes and edit the thickness or touch up any opps.

Unfortunately, you can’t download the font you have made, but I guess what can you expect for free. But you can write and email your new handwritten notes, or write and screenshot like I did.

I tried to make a cupcake, but my drawing skills aren’t that great and it didn’t scan in too well and ended up looking just like a turd.

That’s brilliant! Shame you can’t download the font file though.

That is so cool! If my handwriting was legible I’d do it!
