A recent study showed 56 per cent of women do not save money on a regular basis, while more than half said they would last less than three months on their current savings if they lost their job.
ANZ has launched a national campaign – FebuSave – to encourage women to develop regular saving habits.
To join in FebuSave , sign up at the febusave site (http://www.bemoneyconfident.com/febusave) set a savings goal for February and commit to cutting back on ‘unnecessary’ spending for the month by only spending money on essential items such as general household bills, rent and mortgage repayments.
Whether your goal is a family holiday, moving out of home, starting your own business, planning for a family or a deposit for your first home, FebuSave aims to give you the tools and support to develop regular savings habits so you can achieve these goals.
Skipping your morning latte can save you around $70 per month or bringing your lunch from home just 3 days a week can add up to $1,560 in your pocket. It only takes a little change to get started towards your goals!
