BYO reusable coffee cup

We wrote about the Keepcup reusable coffee cups last year  (I have actually  just ordered some myself) but came across the BYO reusable coffee cup recently, and it looks really cool as well.

Did you know that most take away coffee cups are not recyclable and that Australians discard into landfill 1.36 million disposable cups a day. This is a phenomenal amount, imagine this figure globally!

So we all really need to do our part, and so no to the take away coffee cups by going reusable. It’s great to see Aussie companies coming out with great alternatives.

The BYO reusable coffee cup is another great Aussie product doing their bit to help us reduce coffee cups in landfills.

Made from silicone which is flexible but firm, it can withstand up to 200ºC heat but will remain cool to touch. You can use it for tea, coffee, soup..what ever…. Use it. Wash it. Use it over and over again.

They are available in a few different colour combos and come in 10oz ($10.95) and 15oz ($15.95)

Been looking at getting a keepcup, but panic over what size is best…

I was tossing up on size, but got the biggest. Can’t go wrong that way, and I like the colour combos of the large.

    A couple of considerations -

    - The larger size keepcups don’t fit under some office espresso machines. Probably less of an issue for commercial machines though.
    - The cleaners threw out my silicon cup thinking it was a disposable cup. They probably wouldn’t have done that with a keepcup :)

Anyway, if you change jobs, hide your silicon cup at night until you know whether the office cleaners are tidying your desk.
