Ahh! Watermelon shark!

Why, yes, it’s a watermelon shark! But doesn’t s/he look like a happy sharky?

Founded over at Mr Chester’s Tumblr, but not sure of the original source…

(P.S. Click here for a super-size version of the pic. I’m contemplating printing it so I can stick it on my wall!)

Adorable alphabet!

If only we could download the font file for this:

Cuuuuute!

Spotted over at the gorgeous SimpleSong blog.

Forehead tittaes a.k.a see, my eyes really are up here

This also falls firmly under the NSFW category!

Ladies who are sick of men who think their eyes are… further south… can fantasise about having a set of fake boobs to attach to your forehead:

Yup, that’s Academy Award-winning French actress Marion Cotillard in a pisstake from the Funny or Die guys.

Priceless!

A fruity Rubik’s Cube

How pretty (and delicious!) does this look?

We haven’t been able to find out very much about this, but we’re especially curious to find out what the white cubes are.

We think it’s Feta. What do you think?

Gummi Bear Chandelier

Good thing this Gummi Bear Chandelier uses plastic Gummi Bears, otherwise I’d be licking the damn thing while it’s hanging in my loungeroom*:

Spotted over at Craftzine.

* I wrote that paragraph like I was going to get one. But I’m not getting one. Sad.

DIY Care Bear costume!

Okay you guys, I am suddenly wanting my own children:

Care Bears were one of my favouritest things when I was growing up (apart from Rainbow Brite, of course. And Muppets).

The instructions for this on Instructables are brilliantly written:

Find a really chill baby, and convince them of how fun it would be to dress up like a bear. Rawr! Surround with other toys, a la that scene from ET.  As if you needed to add cuteness.

Excuse me, I must go steal a child so I have an excuse to make one of these…

Here’s a bright idea

This idea wouldn’t work as well with the new light bulbs we have to use now…

US Etsy-er StarRedesign transforms old-school light bulbs into vases and flogs them for US$10.

If you’re the crafty type and have some of these light bulbs left, you can follow the tutorial yourself.

Banana undies!

It’s taken me quite a while to get around to posting this, I keep getting… distracted…

“This range is a world first in underwear – it is made from the weave of the bark from the banana plant, and soft organic cotton, ensuring ultimate comfort, with an eco friendly flavour that will keep you coming back for seconds.” Aussie Bum

Go watch the video on their site, too. It’s okay, we’ll wait…

If these undies are environmentally-thoughtful, we don’t have to feel guilty for… inspecting the merchandise, right?

And they’d make for great ‘is that a banana in your pants…’ jokes too, hehe

Star Wars gets stuffed

If I had an ounce of patience to try crochet, I’d totally be trying these amigurumi:

Created by LucyRavenscar, who has made the patterns available for purchase on Etsy.

Did you know that Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures? Me neither!

Would you strip to your undies for some free magazines?

On Monday, Magnation hosted its first “Undies Monday” for the month of March.

IF YOU TURN UP WEARING ONLY YOUR UNDERTHINGS THEY’LL GIVE YOU $50 TO SPEND IN-STORE

Apparently the promotion was way. too. popular. this week and they’ve upped the ante with some extra rules to play by for the remaining Mondays in March.

I love me some magazines, but don’t think I’m willing to strip down to my unmentionables for it ;)

Would you???

Noice’n up your wheelie bin

I think I’d be the laughing stock of my neighbourhood if I popped one of these on my wheelie bin:

…but if I *was* going to, I reckon I’d choose one of these!

Did you know these things even existed? I feel like I’m behind the 8-ball on this one.

These ones are from Wheelie Designs, but there are also wrap-around floral designs available from Wheelie Bin Skins and even Peter’s of Kensington sells them!

Who woulda thunk it?

Yay! That’s Noice turns one!

Happy birthday to us!

A year ago, a Noice web site started up. Full of Noice things. Like the iPad made out of tampons, Christmas trees that are kitteh-safe and pint-sized piggies.

Oh, and then there are all the cupcake posts we’ve posted so far. And let’s not forget our Aussie cupcake bakery directory.

We can’t believe it’s been a year of Noice things already!

To celebrate, we made some custom cupcake toppers:

They’re based on Likey Design’s tutorial:

But we used flower wire instead, due to Sydney’s great lollipop stick shortage. Oh, and double-sided tape because I’m scared of using a hot glue gun:

Thanks to all our Noice friends for supporting us in our first year. Here’s to a second year of Noice-ness!

Anatomical heart locket

Something like this would be a nifty gift idea for the medical worker in your life. Or fans of Gregory House!

heart-necklace

Mmm, Gregory House porn (don’t worry, it’s safe for work).

heart-necklace

These anatomically-correct heart lockets are the creation of Chicago’s Peggy Skemp.

Update: Eagle-eyed That’s Noice fan @rebeccamurphy has let us know that the lockets are available to Aussies through Etsy! Just don’t choke at the price tag…

Chastity belt for man’s best friend

I’m thinking we need a new category on That’s Noice: Zomg This Shit Is So Crazy It Can’t Be Real.

Someone has created a chastity belt for dogs, called PABS, the Pet Anti Breeding System.

I think I’ve officially seen it all. The internet is no longer needed.

Ladies geek tees that men will love

Okay girls, here are a couple of geeky tees that focus on your, ahem, girls:

This is a ThinkGeek one, perfect those of us who have become addicted to their iPhone:

slide-to-unlock

But my favourite of this (very specific) genre is this one from Russia:

controller-shirt

Major kudos to Jarod of Jarod&Liz for introducing me to the controller tee!
