It’s a Knockout: The Hen’s Party

Yet another reason I wish Australia was closer to the UK. It’s a Knockout was one of my favourite TV shows when I was 5 and I love the idea of playing the game with a group of your besties.

All I ask is that you please not ask how I found out about this. It’s embarrassing.

Japanese food iPhone cases

We’ve shown you some weird and not-so-weird iPhone cases and covers here on That’s Noice before, but I think these ones make me feel ill:

Bento box, anyone?

How about something that looks like a hash brown?

I think it’s the bacon and egg that’s really got my stomach churning:

Pretty in Pink

On the weekend I found a Pretty in Pink stall and bought one of their handbags – it’s fabulous!!

They have so many brilliant things for sale (including the clothes, but only available in teeny-tiny sizes), I bought perfume, lip balm, soap… mmmm, so much noice stuff! It’s a bit exxy, so be careful.

There’s an actual storefront in Newtown, but you can also shop online.

Sway stools are way cool

They’re expensive, though (US$140). And, once again, don’t ship to Australia.

But we can dream, right?

Robot learns to iron

I want this robot once it’s learned to do this better than me (which shouldn’t take too long)

The Wine Rack: also a sports bra

Just quietly, I don’t think I’d get much running done if I wore this thing:

US$28.75 + US$35.49 shipping (!!!) to Australia = US$64.24. Hmm, sadly not really worth the price unless it’s for a REALLY spesh occasion…

Noice-ities: rodent beer edition

I don’t know about you guys, but while I’m glad it’s Friday, I’ve had a brilliant week.

How was yours?

Here’s something that belongs in the Not Noice! category to gee you up: beer that’s served in a rodent. Yes, that’s what I said:

Who else still misses David Tennant as The Doctor?

Yes, Matt Smith makes a great Doctor for the next generation.

But he’s not Tennant. Sniff.

Leigh found this pattern for me on the weekend, and I’m madly practicing my technique so I can make a brilliant Tennant-Doctor to keep me warm at night.

I can’t wake up next to the real David Tennant, but this’ll do nicely thankyouverymuch!

Noice-ities: YouTube-age

Okay people, there have been some great finds on YouTube this week.

But what’s been YOUR favourite??

Has it been that double rainbow guy? Or the earworm song remix version of him?

Personally, my fave has been the Old Spice ads. Featuring Mr Isaiah Mustafa:

Can’t talk; swooning! ;)

It was bound to happen – Zombie Cupcakes!

Zilly Rosen’s undead take on the continuing cupcake craze isn’t released until September, but I’m putting this on my wishlist now!

How could you resist recipes like Strawberry Blood Cupcakes and Rotting Flesh Lime Cakes? Apparently they give you theme ideas like gravestones, brains, rising zombies, eye poppers, 28 Cupcakes Later and Icing of the Living Dead (these two tickle my fancy).

But where’s the Zombieland cupcake???

Could this be the most hygienic toothbrush ever?

Check out this experimental toothbrush; it works like one of those punching clown thingys that never fall over.

From the creator’s web site:

DEWS does away with concerns about whether your toothbrush is resting on an unhygienic surface. This upstanding toothbrush makes use of a weight at the end of its rounded handle to create a centre of gravity at the handle base. When the toothbrush is set down, it will sway momentarily until it reaches a position of balance – much like a tumble doll.

I love the idea of never needing to keep my toothbrush in a cup, but, if you really wanted it to be hygienic, you’d need a little cover for it too.

Or is that me being a bit to anal retentive about it?

That said, my toothbrush sits in a mug that gets washed every few weeks to prevent too much mould build up.

Noice-ities: powered by the eclipse

Who else has their head craned at a painful angle, watching the lunar eclipse that’s been happening for the last hour? Colour me stupid, but I forgot how lonnnnng it takes for the eclipse to actually happen. Still, I stand there and imagine the earth is making dog, bird and butterfly-shaped shadow puppets.

The things my brain thinks of when looking skyward!

And so returns Noice-ities for another week. Why don’t you join us? Write a post on your blog and link to it with the nifty doo-dah at the bottom of this post.

Don’t be shy; we know you’re out there and reading the Noice-ities posts each week, we have the stats to prove it ;) If you don’t have a blog then feel free to leave a comment telling us about or linking to something that’s made you smile this week.

It’s noice!

Alice in Wonderland cutlery

I’m not usually one for fancy cutlery, but I am head over heels in love with these.

As in, seriously in love:

I have to admit that I still haven’t seen that Alice movie with Johnny in it, but I loved Alice the miniseries too much to (have it ruined by Johnny.)

Noice-ities: let’s ignore the World Cup

World Cup? What World Cup? Losing by 4 points in football is not noice – so I’m sticking my fingers in my ears and pretending it didn’t happen.

Stupid football.

Bugaboo + scooter = death

This is a death wish just waiting to happen… right?

I can see the initial appeal of combining scootering with the important task of transporting YOUR BABY. But srsly?! And, um, how would you steer the damn thing?
